NATIONAL ENRICHMENT FACILITY WATER SUPPLY LINE
Pettigrew & Associates provided turnkey professional engineering and surveying services for approximately 4.4 miles of 14” water supply line to the National Enrichment Facility, located five miles east of Eunice. The National Enrichment Facility, estimated construction cost of $1.5 billion, is the first highspeed centrifuge uranium enrichment plant built in the United States. The following summarizes the scope of work.
Phase I:
- Review all Applicable Permitting and Right of Way Requirements for Water Line Installation
- Acted as Right of Way Agent and Acquired Right of Way and Highway/Railroad Permits
- Preparation of Construction Documents and Bid Package
- Preparation of Construction Cost Estimate
- Preparation of Right of Way plats
- Preparation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
- Coordinated Design and Installation of Two Back Up Power Generators for Well Field
Phase II:
- Acted as Project/Construction Manager for Water Line Installation
- Obtained Fixed Price Bids from Contractors and Recommended Award
- Construction Inspection and Quality Assurance
- Project Close-Out
